Hi everyone,
Dean here, thanks for joining me again.
I'd like to clear something up here. Often it is said that Bunker Hunt and his brother were trying to corner the silver market. Well, it may have looked that way, but from my research, they were motivated into investing in silver as a means of preserving their wealth. Their initial concern was the fact that President Nixon had effectively shattered the Bretton Woods agreement be removing the USD off the Gold standard, thus subjecting the currency to potential massive loss of value via inflation.
Their move into Silver bullion was a way of minimizing their exposure to inflation and therefore a way of conserving their wealth. The big mistake the Hunt brothers made was when they shifted their investing strategy beyond the holding of the physical metal onto the derivatives playing field where governments and banking institutions make the rules, and according to the rules, they can change the rules at any time.
This changing of the rules wasn't necessarily to break the Hunts bank, it was probably more like a power play to control the gold market. The Hunts just happened to be the obvious scapegoat.
Do your homework, and read the history, you wont have to look far to come to your own conclusions.
So, with that said, enjoy today's video.,
kind regards
Dean
